Gopal Vittal: The CEO of Airtel is Gopal Vittal. Airtel is the biggest business rival company of Jio owned by Mukesh Ambani. Vittal said in an interview that Airtel is not planning to launch a locked feature phone like Jio Bharat. Vittal said that his company is not in the race for 5G coverage. Airtel is focusing on providing good service. He added that his company is also focusing on getting people to upgrade from feature phones to smartphones. Know who is Gopal Vitthal?

Gopal Vitthal is known for public interest. As per reports, in 2017-2018, he earned Rs 169.73 crore. He is also the MD of Bharti Airtel. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. He has worked for only two companies in his long career- Airtel and HUL.

He did his schooling from Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh. He did his graduation from Madras Christian College. He completed his MBA in 1990 and joined HUL.

Sunil Bharti Mittal appointed him as the Marketing Operations Head at Airtel after 16 years of service. The company’s customer base grew from 33 million to 122 million during his tenure.

After 2 years Vittal rejoined HUL. He again came back to Airtel in 2012 after 4 years. He became the director of special projects and international business strategy. In 2013, he became the CEO of the company. In 2022-23, he earned more than Rs 15 crore.
