SBI Banking Services: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest and oldest public sector bank, continuously strives to provide the best facilities to its customers. In this series, the bank has provided another new facility to its customers.

SBI has launched a new ‘Mobile Handheld Device’ for its Customer Service Center (CSP) agents to provide doorstep banking facilities to its customers.

Under this, SBI will provide convenient and doorstep banking services to crores of its customers. The device is quite light and can be easily lifted from one place to another.

Through this mini device, initially the customer has the facility of five banking facilities – withdrawal of money, deposit, transfer of money, account balance check and mini statement.

The service center agent can take this device to any customer’s home and provide facilities like withdrawing money, depositing money and taking out mini statement.

‘Kiosk Banking’ system brings banking convenience directly to the doorstep of customers. Through this, service center agents will be able to provide their facilities to senior citizens, disabled and sick people.

State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman Dinesh Khara said that the objective of the launch of ‘Mobile Handheld Device’ is to make banking facilities simple and accessible to the common people, so that the needy themselves can access banking facilities and essential services.

He further said that initially through this, five essential banking services – cash withdrawal, cash deposit, balance enquiry, mini statement and fund transfer – will be provided to the people. It will be further expanded later.
