Vande Bharat Express

Vande Bharat: Vande Bharat trains are now in operation in various states across the country. The train is helping people to cover the distance in less time as compared to other high-speed trains. The first fully indigenous-made train was flagged off by PM Modi himself in 2019 between New Delhi vs Varanasi. 

Now the Railway is planning to run a sleeper Vande Bharat train. As per sources, work is going on very fast in this regard. Its coaches are being manufactured at the ICF factory in Chennai. The Sleeper Vande Bharat train may run between Mumbai-Delhi.

So far, 25 Vande Bharat trains have been flagged off by PM Modi. Since, it was introduced to till now only chair cars are in function, in such a situation, people face problems for long routes. Now the sleeper Vande Bharat will help passengers who will opt to travel long distances with the train. 

According to reports, the sleeper Vande Bharat train can complete its journey between Mumbai and Delhi in just 12 hours. Currently, The express trains take at least 16 hours between the two major cities. To increase the speed of the train, work is also being done on the railway track. Apart from this, fencing is also being installed on both sides of the tracks, so that suddenly nothing can come on the track.

ICF has got the contract to make 86 Vande Bharat trains. Out of this, 9 will be sleeper trains. Railways want to run 400 Vande Bharat trains in the next four years. Out of this, Vande Bharat, Vande Bharat Sleeper Train and Vande Bharat Metro trains etc. are included.
