Jio vs Airtel vs VI: Which Voice & SMS-Only Prepaid Recharge Plans Are Cheaper And What Do They Offer?

Jio vs Airtel vs VI: In compliance with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) recent guidelines Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea (VI) has launched their new voice and SMS-only prepaid plans, specially designed for users who primarily rely on calling and SMS services.

Furthermore, these plans offer long-term validity and unlimited calling benefits, catering to customers seeking budget-friendly voice and SMS options. Likewise, Jio, VI and Airtel’s new plans allows consumers to pay only for voice and SMS services, without data, leaving them with more cost savings.

Airtel has revised its voice and SMS-only recharge plans with new prices. Earlier this week, Airtel announced Rs 499, and Rs 1,959 voice & SMS-only recharge plans. Airtel has revised its Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs), now offering the Rs 499 voucher for Rs 469 and the Rs 1,959 plan for Rs 1,849.

Latest Plans Of Jio

Jio’s Rs 458 recharge plan offers 84 days of validity, unlimited voice calling, free national roaming, 1,000 free SMS, and access to Jio Cinema, and it’s TV apps, excluding mobile data benefits.

Jio’s Rs 1,958 recharge plan offers a 365-day validity, unlimited voice calling, free national roaming, 3,600 free SMS, and complimentary access to Jio Cinema, and it’s TV apps, excluding mobile data benefits.

Furthermore, Jio has discontinued its existing plan worth Rs 1,899 plan (24GB data with 336-day validity) and Rs 479 plan (6GB data with 84-day validity).

Airtel: Latest Plans

Airtel’s Rs 469 recharge plan offers 84 days of validity, unlimited voice calling, free national roaming, and 900 free SMS, but does not include mobile data benefits.

Rs 1,849 recharge plan of Airtel offers a 365-day validity, unlimited voice calling, free national roaming, and 3,600 free SMS, with no mobile data benefits. 

Plan Removal: Airtel has discontinued its existing plan of worth Rs 509 plan (comes with 6GB data and 84-day validity) and Rs 1,999 plan (comes with 24GB data and a year validity).

Latest Plan Of VI

Vi offers a 270-day plan for Rs 1,460, featuring unlimited calls and 100 SMS. Additional SMS will be charged at Rs 1 for local and Rs 1.5 for STD messages.
