Industrial production increases by 3.1% in Sept, says report

Index of Industrial Production: The official statistics published on Friday shows that India’s industrial production increased by 3.1% in September.

In September 2021, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) increased by 4.4%.

The manufacturing sector’s output increased by 1.8% in September 2022, according to IIP data issued by the National Statistical Office (NSO).

During the month, power production jumped by 11.6% while mining output increased by 4.6%.
