New Delhi: Union government on Friday announced a 4 percent hike in the dearness allowance of central government employees. Now, the DA of central employees has increased to 42 percent.

According to the information, the new rates would be applicable from 1 January 2023 to June 2023.  the central government has also given good news to pensioners by announcing 4 percent dearness relief for them.

The latest decision of the government will benefit more than 1 crore, central employees and pensioners. Union Minister Anurag Thakur shared the information after the cabinet meeting.

This Increment would put a burden of more than Rs 12000 crore on the government exchequer.

With the latest decision of the central government, there will be a big increase in the salary of central government employees.  If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 25,500 per month, then he will get Rs 10,710 as a dearness allowance.
