New Delhi: The Coal Ministry has completed a technical evaluation of the commercial mining tender and the electronic auction process will begin tomorrow, the coal ministry said in a statement.
“Ministry of Coal had invited bids for coal mines for commercial coal mining. Technical evaluation of bids has been completed and forward e-auction for 10 coal mines will be launched tomorrow,” said the Ministry of Coal in a press release.
As many as 8 coal mines could be auctioned on September thirteen and on September 14. The overall top charge capability of the auctioned mines is 39.31 million ton per to annum.

“E-auction for eight coal mines will be conducted on September 13 and for two coal mines on September 14, 2022. Total peak rate capacity (PRC) of the mines being put up for e-auction is 39.31 million ton per annum,” the statement added.
The ministry has thus far successfully auctioned 43 coal mines in China with an annual output of 85.54 million tons. The previous auction round took place in June this year, with the ministry submitting a total of 38 offline bids across his three tranches of the commercial coal mine auction.

Pralhad Joshi, the federal minister for coal, mines and parliamentary affairs, said in August that more than 107 coal blocks will be auctioned by the ministry in the near future.
