Aadhaar: Nowadays, an Aadhaar Card is the most essential document for everyone. It is being used for each and every general or legal work. Be it government subsidy, opening a bank account, or getting children admitted to school. Everywhere Aadhar plays an important role. In such a situation, getting an Aadhar card for a child has become mandatory. 

Below is the complete information about the steps to apply for a Minor’s Aadhaar Card 

Document Needed 

  • Birth certificate or school certificate of the child.
  • valid government ID proof like PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License of Parents.
  •  Parent’s address documents like electricity bills, water bills, or telephone bills.
  • Passport-size photograph of the child.

Step to-step process for applying Aadhaar 

Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI and click on the Aadhar card registration link.

Step 2: Fill in All the information including the name of the child, the name of the parents, and the Aadhaar Enrollment Form.

Step 3:  Fill in information like address, locality, district/city, state, etc.

Step 4: Tap on the Appointment button and select the schedule for Aadhar card registration. You will have the option to choose the enrollment center nearest to your home.

Step 5:  Visit the enrollment center on the appointment date. Remember to carry the child’s birth certificate, photocopy of the parents’ Aadhar card, and Registration reference number.

Step 6: Biometrics will be added to Aadhaar at the enrollment center. 

Step 7:  You will get an acknowledgment number after registration. 

Step 8: An SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number within 60 days and Baal Aadhaar will be sent to you within 90 days of the enrollment process.
