New Delhi: Young aviation engineers will receive maintenance training from Airbus in accordance with the agreement.
At the GMR School of Aviation in Hyderabad, GMR will offer the fully integrated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensure curriculum.

The four-year programme will begin with two years of classroom instruction and end with two years of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) training at GMR Aero Technic in Hyderabad.
In accordance with the agreement, Airbus will provide the required software and courseware in the form of trainee manuals, an examination database, online access to specially designed basic training modules, and Airbus Competence Training (ACT) for the Academy media package, which is the technical training material needed for the courses.

Along with evaluating the training facility, Airbus will also train GMR instructors.

Aspirants who passed their Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) test with Physics and Mathematics as their primary subjects will be eligible for the programme beginning this year. Over the next 20 years, India will need about 45,000 new aviation technicians, according to the Airbus Global Market Forecast 2022.
