8th Pay Commission: These days more than one crore central employees and pensioners are eagerly waiting for the announcement of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief. If everything goes well, this hike will be announced soon i.e. before Holi. On the basis of the AICPI data released by the Ministry of Labour, it is being estimated that this time also there may be an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance. If this happens, the dearness allowance of central employees will increase from the current 38 to 42 per cent.

In such a situation, before this, the government can give a big gift of the Eighth Pay Commission to the employees. After this it can be implemented in 2026. However, at present no proposal of any kind has been presented by the Central Government regarding the Eighth Pay Commission.

Demand for 8th Pay Commission intensifies

Central employees demanding the 8th Pay Commission say that they are getting less salary than what was recommended in the 7th Pay Commission. Meanwhile, the employees unions are preparing for a countrywide movement to press for their demands. The union says that the government should clear the situation as soon as possible. At the same time, the government has categorically denied any idea on the subject of implementing the 8th pay scale in the House. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary has mentioned this in Parliament as well.

Minimum salary Rs 26,000

It is being told that if everything goes well, the 8th Pay Commission can be planned in the next year 2024. If this happens then there can be a tremendous increase in his salary. According to reports, the minimum pay of government employees will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 if the employees union’s proposal is approved under the 8th Pay Commission. And the fitment factor will increase up to 3.68 times.

8th pay commission may be implemented in 2026

Let us tell you that the Pay Commission for the employees is implemented only once in every ten years. The same pattern has been seen in the implementation of 5th, 6th and 7th pay commissions. According to an estimate, the 8th Pay Commission will be set up in the year 2024 and whose recommendations can be implemented in 2026.

Will the government end the Pay Commission?

Along with this, news is also coming that after the 7th Pay Commission, its tradition will end. That is, after the 7th Pay Commission, no new Pay Commission will come next. Instead, the government can implement an automatic increment system. In this, the salary hike of government employees will be done automatically. It can be like increment in private jobs. If there is more than 50 percent DA in this, there will be an automatic revision in the salary.
