There is a strange sense of unease and fear in the world right now. Specifically in the West Asia, the conflict between Israel and Iran has added to the tension of the world. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 85-year-old, holding a rifle, has said that Iran will attack Israel again if necessary.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday Iran launched around 181 missiles at Iran in 25 minutes. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also vowed to destroy Iran. Several parts of South Lebanon has turned into ruins due to missiles and strikes. The conflict between Israel and Hamas is ongoing and war between Ukraine and Russia has reached its 954th day. The conflict that was predicted to end in a week –why it hasn’t ended yet?
92 Countries Engulfed In Conflict
According to 2024 Global Peace Index, currently 56 wars are ongoing worldwide and 92 countries are engulfed in conflict. Now the question arises, who is fueling these wars in different parts of the world? Who is gaining benefit from this war? Do you know what will happen if the undeclared war between Iran and Israel turns into declared war? If Israel turns its missiles around Iran’s oil field and missile launch pad? How will the world get affected if this conflict prolongs? Is Hezbollah in Iran the only target or the gas reserves in its maritime border? Who is supplying ammunition to Israel, the country who is fighting both the Hezbollah and Hamas? Who is trying to strengthen its economy by igniting the war in the world? We will try to find answers of such questions.
Who Is The Target Of Israel’s Advanced Missiles?
It is difficult and challenging for the diplomats to predict to what conclusion the conflict between Iran and Israel reach. Which big locations of Iran can be at target of Israel’s advanced missiles? To what extent a country can go to shut the nuclear programs of Iran. Answers to these questions are uncertain and lies in future. But one thing is clear that Iran is a powerful country in the Muslim world, who is trying to unite both Shia and Sunni in the name of Islam against the western countries.
Ballistic Missiles Launched At Israel
In such circumstances, in coming days we can get to see clashes between religion and not just the culture. Last week, on Tuesday, Iran launched 181 ballistic missiles at Israel in less than half an hour. However, Israel claimed to have intercepted half of the missiles mid-air. According to The Jerusalem Post, the kind of ballistic missiles Iran used, its cost of manufacturing one missile is estimated to be around one million dollars, which is 8 crore and 30 lakh. As per the calculation, the cost of 181 missiles would exceed 15 billion rupees. However, surprisingly, the system to intercept these ballistic missiles is even more expensive.
According to The Jerusalem Post, the cost of identifying and intercepting these ballistic missiles is more than double that of the missiles themselves. It is estimated that Israel would have spent over 450 million dollars on its defense system to destroy the Iran’s missiles, which estimates to around Rs 3700 crore. In less than half an hour, Iran and Israel spent over 52 billion rupees in weaponry. Now it is crucial to understand what both Iran and Israel are actually aiming for and what side effects will it have on the world?
From Where Are The Houthis Getting Arms?
In April also, Iran launched 110 ballistic and 30 cruise missiles at Israel. Almost a year ago, on 7 October, Hamas surprised the world be launching attack on Israel. This raised questions on Israel’s security system. Since then, Israel has been continuously attacking on Gaza and Southern Lebanon. Israel and Hamas have been fighting for a year now. Israel is continuing its revenge even after the assassination of Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. The question also arises, where do Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Palestine, and the Houthis in Yemen obtain their weapons and training from?
954 Days Of War Between Russia And Ukraine
Israel has a population of less than 1 crore, then how it is engaged on such big warfare? Who is supplying them with ammunition, fighter jets, and missiles?
America is the biggest supplier of arms to Israel, then comes the Germany and the Italy on third. The war between Russia and Ukraine has also extended to 954 days. Ukraine is holding its ground against Russia because it’s getting supply from America and other western countries.
In such situation, the chances of conflict based on nationalism and religion are increasing in the world. The United States is known for supplying arms and ammunition to terrorists and extremists to serve its own interests. Amid tensions and the threat of war, Western countries are likely to find new markets and buyers for arms in Asia and Europe, which will benefit major global arms manufacturers.
The United Nations which was constituted to establish peace after World War II, has recently failed to prevent wars. The superpowers are unwilling to reform the structure of United Nations. In such circumstances, to save the world from war, there is a pressing need for honest intentions and elevated thinking.
