E-car: The number of electric vehicles is gradually increasing on the roads. This EV car is charged in two ways AC (Alternating Current) charging and DC (Direct Current) fast charging. DC charger takes less time whereas the AC charger takes a little longer to fully charge the car.

Many times our battery is at risk of getting damaged due to wrong charging. So you need to know about AC and DC charging. According to the information, heat is generated during charging in either AC or DC mode. That’s why it is said that due to fast charging, there are more chances of the battery getting damaged quickly.

Don’t opt for fast charging regularly

Fast charging should be done only when there is a lot of emergency. Using an AC charger on a daily basis increases the durability of the battery. There are cells inside the battery. Cells should be charged at the same level. The fast charger has more chance of getting damaged.

According to the information, the power that is received from any grid is AC. Whereas the battery of an electric vehicle always stores power in the form of DC. In electric vehicles, the converter is built inside the car. Which is called an onboard charger. It converts the power from AC to DC and stores it in the battery.

A DC charger has a converter inside the charger itself. In this, the power reaches the battery of the car directly. It does not require an onboard charger to convert power.
