Bharat Mobility expo is just round the corner and it would be safe to say that manufacturers have started to pace up their preparations for the same. Gearing up for the same pursuit here are the new vehicles that Mg would showcase at the Bharat Mobility Expo.
While there was a confirmation earlier that the brand would showcase the Cyberster as well as the M9 MPV, but now as per reports the manufacturer seems to have confirmed that they would showcase two more vehicles. These would have the MG7 Trophy and the iML6 Sedan as well.
MG Im L6 Sedan
IM is a EV only brand that has been found by MG. As per them, IM stands for intelligent mobility. The L6 that would be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show and is based on its io origin architecture.
The L6 is special because it uses a solid state battery that is a much better improvement over lithium ion batteries. The solid state batteries have improved charging times and significantly lower leakage risks compared to a lithium ion battery. The car has a CLTC range of around 998 km. The L6 would be fully equipped with some of the latest features including a 26.3 inch screen, and a special yoke like steering wheel.
MG7 Trophy
There has always been a dearth of fastback saloon’s in India, the Mg 7 would fulfill all those needs. The MG7 trophy has been based on the regular MG7 sedan. Available in the overseas markets. The car has a low slung saloon style silhouette with fine lines and a muscular appearance.
If that was not all, the surprises continue to exist below the hood as well. The car has a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces a peak power output of 257 hp and 450 nm of torque. The car comes mated to a 9 speed automatic gearbox. MG7 proper sports saloon with comfortable interiors but the ability to go fast whenever necessary. When MG would offer these vehicle in India, and accept bookings for them is still a mystery.
MG M9
This vehicle is also known as the Mifa 9 abroad. This would be a addition to the MG Select channel. The car had been previously showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo as well and would soon make a reappearance in India. the new M9 would have a front wheel drive setup, with a 90 Kwh battery pack which would have a claimed range of around 430 km. The motor in the vehicle produces 245 hp and 350nm of peak torque. The car would be made available with 7 seater as well as a 8 seater layout. The MG M9provide the customers with the comfort of Ottoman chairs and a massage functions. the car would be launched in the market around march.
MG Cyberster
The dearth of enthusiast cars in India has lead to a great vacuum for enthusiasts. Hence its possible that Cyberster would definitely fulfill the needs of the customers who want a sport vehicle aimed at enthusiasts. Just like the M9 the car would be sold through the MG premium select showroom’s. The car would be powered by a 77 kwh battery pack, paired to two electric motors on each axle. The powertrain of the vehicle would churn out a peak power of 510 hp and a peak torque of 725 nm. The car would have maximum range of around 580km on a single full charge.
