Toyota Fortuner, a renowned full-size SUV, is making waves on social media due to its unique sedan transformation. Before you get too puzzled, it’s not a new model but a modified version featuring a significant tire size change.

In a viral video, a white Toyota Fortuner, now sporting black alloy wheels, cruises down the road. The modification has given the vehicle an elongated appearance, making it look more like a low-rise sedan than the towering Fortuner. This video has garnered over 88,000 likes and received more than 900 comments, generating a mix of reactions from the audience.

The Toyota Fortuner available in the market is a 7-seater SUV with a starting price of approximately Rs 33.43 lakh. It comes in two variants: Standard and GR-S and offers a choice of seven colors. The SUV is equipped with a 2.7-liter petrol engine, delivering 166 PS power and 245 Nm torque. There’s also an option for a 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine.

Inside, the Fortuner features modern technology, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a 6-speaker sound system, wireless charging, a kick-to-open powered tailgate, dual-zone air conditioning, and cruise control. Safety-wise, it boasts seven airbags.

In the market, the Toyota Fortuner faces competition from the likes of the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq. This model represents the higher end of the Toyota range.
