JBL system removed from Fortuner
Toyota has now removed the 11-speaker JBL sound system from its Fortuner 4×4 and Legender 4×4. These variants will now get the standard 6-speaker sound system, which is available in all other variants. Although it is not yet clear whether it has been temporarily closed or removed forever.
No change in price
There has been no change in the prices of these models even after the removal of the premium 11-speaker sound system from the Fortuner. The 4×4 is available only in the diesel variants of the Fortuner and the Legend. The ex-showroom price of the 2.8-litre diesel manual variant with 4×4 system of this SUV starts at Rs 38.93 lakh, while its automatic version costs Rs 41.22 lakh. The top-spec Fortuner GR-S 2.8-litre diesel, 4×4 automatic variant is priced at Rs 50.34 lakh, while the Legender 4×4 diesel automatic is priced at Rs 46.54 lakh, ex-showroom.
Fortuner 4×2 Price
The ex-showroom price of the base variant 4×2 petrol manual of Fortuner is Rs 32.59 lakh and the ex-showroom price of its automatic variant is Rs 34.18 lakh. Its diesel 4×2 manual costs Rs 35.09 lakh and the automatic variant costs Rs 37.37 lakh. While the price of Legender 4×2 Diesel Automatic is Rs 42.82 Lakh.

How is the powertrain?
Currently, the Fortuner gets a 2.7-litre petrol engine, which generates maximum power of 166 PS and peak torque of 245 Nm. It is mated to 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. Apart from this, a 2.8-litre diesel engine is also available in it, which generates power of 204 PS. This engine generates torque of 420 Nm with manual transmission and 500 Nm with automatic transmission. It also gets the option of iMT as well as 6 speed manual transmission. Toyota still offers the JBL sound system in the Vellfire and Camry. The Camry gets a 9-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer and Clari-Fi technology and the Vellfire gets a 17-speaker sound system.

The company has not given the reason
The reason why the 11-speaker JBL sound system was discontinued from the Fortuner 4×4 and Legend 4×4 has not been disclosed by the company, however, due to cost overruns, companies tend to cut back on the features of the vehicle, which prompts them to cut back on car prices. does not have to be increased.
