New Delhi: The company has been doing well in India ever since Volkswagen developed the MQB A0 IN platform. The company also supplies a number of Made-in-India vehicles to markets like Mexico and South America. For example, the Indian-made T-Cross, which is sold in the country as the Tigun, is also sold in Mexico and Brazil.

Spot happened during testing

The company is about to bring a facelift version of this T-Cross, which can be launched in India as well. This updated model has been spotted for the first time during testing in Brazil. It includes several new design elements, some of which are similar to the company’s T-Roc.

What happened update

The spy pictures of the 2024 Volkswagen Tigun facelift reveal a slightly bigger grille and minuscule design changes on the inside. The rest of the design remains the same as before. Its headlight barrels and fog lights are also similar to the current model. Minor changes have been made to the lower bumper, where the company has removed the silver element. It is not yet clear whether this change in design will be available in the India spec model or not. This T-Cross updated model design is likely to be found in the markets of Colombia, Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Chile and Europe only. The T-Cross sold in these markets gets a T-Roc inspired design along with its fog lamps.

How will be the India spec model

According to some media reports, the Euro-design like T-Roc, the design of T-Cross facelift can also be seen in India-spec Taigun. When the India-spec Volkswagen Taigun gets its midlife update, expect minor changes to the front and rear profile design, but the powertrain will remain unchanged.
