New Delhi: Here is a list of top 6 new cars and 4 new motorcycles to be launched in the Indian market next year –

1. BYD Atto 3

Chinese automaker BYD (Build Your Dreams) will launch its second electric vehicle, the BYD Atto 3 in the passenger car category, on October 11, 2022. To rival the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV, the new BYD Atto 3 is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 30-35 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of proportions, the new Atto 3 is 4,455mm long, 1,875mm wide and 1,615mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,720mm.

The electric SUV is powered by a synchronous electric motor that produces 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. The electric motor sends power only to the front wheels and is also equipped with regenerative braking technology. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is claimed in just 7.3 seconds. The new model is likely to come in two battery packs – 49.92 kWh with a range of 345 km and 60.48 kWh with a range of 420 km per charge.

2. Maruti Jimny 5dv

Maruti Suzuki is working on a new 5-door version of the long-wheelbase Jimny lifestyle SUV, which is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. The new model will rival the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. The new 5-door Jimny will be based on the Jimny Sierra and will have a 300mm longer wheelbase and 300mm length.

It will be powered by a 1.5L K15C Dualjet gasoline engine with a mild hybrid system. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter. It will come standard with the Suzuki AllGrip Pro AWD system.

3. Maruti Baleno Cross

Maruti Suzuki is testing a new Coupe SUV based on the Baleno hatchback. The new Baleno Cross, codenamed YTB, is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 in January, with a market launch likely in February 2023. It will be sold exclusively through the premium NEXA dealer network.

The new model will compete with Honda WR-V, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Hyundai Venue. The Baleno Cross will be powered by a 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine producing 102bhp and 150Nm of torque. It is likely to be offered with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

4. Toyota Innova HyCross

After introducing the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV, Toyota plans to launch the new generation Innova Hybrid in the country. Likely to make its world premiere in November 2022, the new model will go on sale in Indonesia first. The new MPV, which is rumored to be called the Innova HyCross, is expected to hit our market in early 2023.

The model will be designed on a lighter monocoque platform instead of a ladder frame architecture and will be a front-wheel drive MPV. . It will measure about 4.7 meters in length and will sit on a wheelbase of 2890 mm. The new Toyota Innova HyCross is expected to be powered by a 2.0L petrol engine with a heavily localized version of the THS II (Toyota Hybrid System). The latter has a twin-motor arrangement that enhances its high torque and fuel efficiency. There will be no diesel engine.

5. Compact SUV Honda

Honda has officially announced the launch of an all-new compact SUV in the Indian market in 2023. It will be a sub-4 meter SUV and will be based on the Amaze platform. Honda’s new compact SUV is likely to be unveiled around the Auto Expo 2023 in January.

cars toIt will go up against Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon. The new model is likely to share engine options with the City sedan, which includes a 1.5L NA petrol and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with strong hybrid technology.

6. Mahindra Thar 5 Doors

Mahindra will launch the new Thar 5-door lifestyle SUV in the country in 2023. Expected to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo, the LWB Thar will be based on a stiffer platform and feature penta-link suspension. The new model will offer a more practical cabin and a larger luggage compartment compared to the 3-door model.

It will retain the existing 2.0L turbocharged petrol and 2.2L turbocharged diesel engines; however, the engines will be calibrated for more power and torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter.

1. New RE Super Meteor & Shotgun 650

After the launch of the new Hunter 350, RE is preparing 4-5 new motorcycles for the Indian market. The company will be launching two new 650cc motorcycles, namely the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650. The Super Meteor 650 will be a cruiser-type motorcycle with a design inspired by the Meteor 350. On the other hand, the RE Shotgun 650 will be a single-seater Bobber.

It is essentially the production version of the SG650 concept that was unveiled at EICMA 2021. The new bikes will be powered by a 648cc parallel twin engine boosted with fuel injection technology. This engine produces 47 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque. The Cruiser will have a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

2. New RE Bullet 350

Royal Enfield has started work on the new generation Bullet 350, which will share underpinnings with the Classic 350 and Meteor 350.

It will be based on Royal Enfield’s new ‘J’ platform. The new Bullet 350 will be powered by a 346cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The bike will retain its original styling with some modern touches. It will come with a traditional telescopic front fork and dual rear shocks. The new bike gets disc and drum brakes on the front and rear axles. It gets single-channel ABS as standard.

3. Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle

It is no secret that the Bajaj-Triumph JV is preparing new motorcycles for both the Indian and global markets. The new bikes have been tested several times, suggesting that the launch could happen soon. The new Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle is expected to be launched sometime in early 2023.

These bikes will have a retro design and will be offered in several body styles including Scrambler and Classic. The new bikes are likely to feature a 350cc-400cc single cylinder engine. It will be pitted against the RE 350cc, BMW G310R and KTM 390 bikes.

4. Hero XPulse 400

Hero MotoCorp is testing two new motorcycles – the Adventure bike and a full-fledged sports bike with larger capacity engines. Rumored to be called the Hero XPulse 400, the new bike will be powered by a new 421cc engine. The new Hero XPulse 400 will be powered by a new 421cc engine which is likely to produce around 40bhp of power and nearly 35Nm of torque.

The new bike will most likely be revealed in the first half of 2023, most likely at the Auto Expo in January, with a launch expected in the second half of next year.
