New Delhi: Tata Motors has made yet another statement in the electric vehicle (EV) market. Tata Tiago Electric, the company’s most affordable electric vehicle, was launched today. Given the country’s growing demand for electric vehicles, the corporation is attempting to strengthen its market position. As a result, the Tiago hatchback now comes in an electric option.

Third EV model in five years
Tata Motors already has two electric vehicles in its lineup: the Nexon and Tigor. In the Indian market, Nexon Electric is doing well. With the introduction of the Tiago, the business is staking its position in the hatchback electric segment as well. Tata Motors plans to release ten electric vehicle models over the next five years. Tiago Electric is one of them as well.
The new Tiago EV is said to have features including cruise control. The charging time of the new EV may be similar to that of the Tigor EV. The Tigor EV is intended to charge from 0 to 80% in about 65 minutes.
Cheapest Electric Vehicle
Tata Tiago Electric costs might range between 10 lakh rupees and 15 lakh rupees. According to the company, it will be the cheapest electric vehicle in the country. The Tata Tiago Electric offers a large range. It can travel approximately 300 kilometres on a single battery. It is capable of housing a 26kWh battery pack.
The Tigor EV, one of the cheapest electric vehicles on the local market, is already available from the manufacturer. It costs 12.49 lakh rupees. Other electric vehicle makers, on the other hand, sell their vehicles for more than Rs 20 lakh. Other EV manufacturers sell their automobiles for much over Rs 20 lakh.
