Xiaomi, the renowned smartphone manufacturer, has introduced its inaugural electric vehicle, the SU7. The company unveiled the official image of the Xiaomi SU7 and disclosed crucial specifications about its maiden EV. We’ll delve into the technology underpinning this car and explore the distinctive features that set it apart from other electric vehicles.

The Xiaomi SU7 stands as a four-door electric sedan, boasting dimensions of 4997 mm in length, 1963 mm in width, and 1455 mm in height. Featuring a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, this cutting-edge electric vehicle bears a striking resemblance to the Porsche Taycan in its design. Sporting a sporty appeal, the SU7 comes equipped with sleek alloy wheels and a captivating Aqua Blue exterior color theme, adding to its overall aesthetic allure.

It is anticipated that the Xiaomi SU7 might include a battery pack, particularly in its top variant, boasting a robust 101 kWh capacity. What sets it apart is Xiaomi’s pioneering development of its proprietary CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology, marking a significant advancement in the vehicle’s design and functionality.

Impressive Range

The EV manufacturer states that the SU7 is poised to deliver an impressive range of up to 800 kilometers on a complete charge. Additionally, in 2025, a V8 variant is expected to debut, featuring a larger 150 kWh battery pack, granting an exceptional range of 1,200 kilometers. Highlighting its versatility, the entry-level variant of the Xiaomi SU7 is equipped with a 73.6 kWh battery pack, further emphasizing its proficiency in battery performance.

According to Xiaomi Chairman and CEO Lei, the purpose of Xiaomi SU7 is not competition. But SU7 EV is set to give a tough competition to Tesla Model S in terms of its looks and performance. Let us tell you that Xiaomi cars will be manufactured in one of the facilities owned by car manufacturer BAIC Group in Beijing. The annual capacity of this facility is 2 lakh vehicles.

As of now, Xiaomi has unveiled the technological aspects of its inaugural electric car, the SU7. However, specific details regarding its pricing and launch schedule have not been disclosed by the company. There’s a possibility that the launch of the SU7 might be imminent, as indications suggest a potential release in the near future.
