Royal Enfield has finally launched the updated and much-anticipated Interceptor and Continental GT 650 twins in the United States. The Indian motorcycle manufacturer has provided the biggest update to these machines since their introduction in 2018. With this major update, Royal Enfield aims to stay more current. Notably, it is more than just an overhaul. Let’s explore what these two powerful offerings have in store for riders.
Royal Enfield Interceptor And Continental GT 650 Get a Modern Makeover
The Interceptor and Continental GT 650 are more modern than ever, thanks to the major update they have received in terms of aesthetics. The halogen headlight has given way to a full LED unit borrowed from the Super Meteor 650. Instead of chrome, an all-black finish on the mirrors, wheels, exhausts, engine, and other bits adds to the overall appeal.
The 650 Duo now rides on alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Buyers have long been asking for it and the brand’s considerations in this department are indeed welcoming. Likewise, Royal Enfield has also introduced new features and colours. The features list includes a USB charging port, adjustable levers, and rotary switchgear.
