New Delhi: Two-wheeler electric vehicle manufacturer Ola Electric has announced that it is going to open 500 showrooms across the country by March 2023. Presently the company is present with 200 showrooms across the country. That is, the company is going to increase the number of its showrooms by 150%.
300 new showrooms will open
Used to sell its vehicles in the country under the digital-only sales model, but now the company is going to open about 300 more new showrooms in the country in a very short time. Apart from metro cities, these new showrooms will be opened keeping in mind the people of Tier III and Tier IV as well as towns and rural areas. According to the company, more than ‘200’ outlets are already operational. But the company is going to complete this work across the country within the next 45 days. That is, on an average the company is going to open 6-7 showrooms daily.

Heavy sales in january
Ola sold less than 5,000 units in August 2022, following which the company’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted about opening physical touch points for its customers to experience before making a purchase. After which the company has sold more than 18,000 electric sweeters of its S1 in January 2023. Because customers prefer offline more than online. Customers can come and experience the scooter at these showrooms, after which they will have to buy it from the online website.
New vehicles coming
Ola has recently strengthened its entire e-scooter line-up. Now the company has six e-scooters for sale. At a recent event, Ola showcased the teaser of several new bikes and an electric car that the company is working on.
