Next-Gen Jeep Compass Ready to Be Unveiled In India
In India, the Jeep Compass is the brand’s most accessible SUV, and the upcoming update is anticipated to introduce significant changes. The new design will align with Jeep’s larger models, such as the Grand Cherokee, and is expected to enhance off-road capabilities.
Additionally, the new-generation Jeep Compass is expected to include an electric version. This Compass EV will likely be based on the company’s new STLA M architecture, which will support various future vehicles. The Renegade, Jeep’s most globally accessible SUV, will also be reintroduced in 2027 as an all-electric model.
The presentation also mentioned plans for midlife updates for the Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, and Wagoneer S. The Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator are also set to receive updates in the global lineup during this period. Lastly, a third all-new SUV, whose name has not yet been disclosed, is scheduled for release in 2027. This new model will join the Wagoneer S and Recon in Jeep’s EV lineup.
The introduction of the next-generation Compass is expected to pave the way for a new Meridian model in markets like India. The Jeep Meridian, a larger three-row version of the Compass, shares the same underpinnings and powertrains.
