New Delhi: Japanese automobile company Honda Cars India is preparing a mid-size SUV and a sub-4 meter segment car to challenge the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Brezza in the Indian market. This news is already in discussion. The company’s new SUV is likely to arrive in summer this year. Along with this, the company is also preparing to launch the new generation upgraded model of its existing compact sedan in the market. This car can come in the market by the year 2024.

How will be the design?

According to a media report, the 2024 Honda Amaze will be based on a modified version platform. Which the company will also use for its upcoming new mid-size SUV. Many cosmetic updates will be seen in this new Amaze. The design of this car can be inspired by the current Honda Accord sedan in the global market.

How will the features be?

Talking about its interior, a new interior layout can be given in it. In which many features of the new Accord and HR-V SUV can be included. The car can get a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity as features. Currently, the car gets automatic climate control, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, LED projector headlamps, cruise control, engine start/stop button, rear view camera, speed sensing auto door lock function, tilt adjustable steering, cup holders. How will the engine be?

Talking about the engine setup of the new Honda Amaze, it is likely to get a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is capable of generating 90bhp power and 110Nm torque. A 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission can be given in it. The current 1.5L diesel engine variant will no longer be available with the car due to the new RDE norms coming into force in April 2023.

Will compete with Hyundai Aura facelift

The new Hyundai Aura facelift gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 83PS/114Nm outputs. This engine gets the option of 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. CNG option is also available in this car.
