New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced two new colors for its Thar 4x4 off-road SUV, which include Everest White and Blazing Bronze. The Blazing Bronze was previously only available with the RWD variant of the Thar. While the white color is completely new for this car. According to Automotive OEM Coatings' BASF Color Report 2022, white is the most preferred color choice for cars across the world including India.

No other changes

Due to the popularity of the white color, the company has also introduced the Thar in white color. But this car's wheel arches, black wing mirrors and roof, bumper and plastic trim will remain black. Apart from the new color, this SUV has not received any other changes.

Now available in 6 colors

With the addition of two new colors, the Mahindra Thar is now available in six color schemes. Which includes Red Rage, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Aqua Marine, Blazing Bronze and Everest White. Earlier this month, the company increased the prices of the 4x2 version of this SUV by Rs. 50,000. Currently, the Mahindra Thar ex-showroom price is between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 16.49 lakh.

How long is the wait?

The waiting time for the rear-wheel drive variant of the Mahindra Thar has crossed 17 months till March 2023. On the other hand, booking the Thar 4x4 version will take you only 3-4 weeks for delivery.

Who is there competition with?

The Mahindra Thar SUV competes with the Force Gurkha in the country, while Maruti's 5-door Jimny will also compete with it soon. The Force Gurkha is powered by a 2.6L diesel engine.
