New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle (HMSI) is working on a new 100cc motorcycle for India. According to reports, next year is knocking. Once launched, this new Honda 100cc motorcycle will compete with the Hero Splendor, one of the best selling motorcycles in India.

In fact, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is targeting the Indian market in a big way with this new commuter vehicle which is expected to be launched at an affordable price. Details about this new Honda 100cc motorcycle are not available yet. However, it is expected to be offered with a lower capacity engine.

Honda expands its dealer network in India

Honda has expanded its dealer network for the Indian market. In FY2022, the company has set up 11 new touchpoints with a total of 5,246 outlets across rural and urban areas. By the end of fiscal year 2012, it had established 119 additional assistance dealers, 10 Best Deal (BD) branches and 239 approved service centers.

Honda vehicles sell very well in India

Talking about sales, HMSI sold 4,49,391 vehicles in October 2022. At the same time, it sold 4,32,229 units in October last year. Sales increased by 3.97 percent.

In the domestic market in the same month, the company sold 4,25,969 units as against 3,94,645 units sold last year, a growth of 7.94 percent. Honda also exported 23,422 units in October 2022, down 37.68 percent from the 37,584 units exported in October 2021.

Honda CB500 to enter in the India Market soon

HMSI recently launched the new Honda CB500 at its BigWing dealership in Bangalore. Hopefully the company will launch it in India soon.

This bike used a 471cc parallel twin liquid cooled engine. It is connected to a 6-speed gearbox, slips and assists. Its engine can develop a maximum power of 47 hp and a maximum torque of 43 Nm.

It gets a 41mm Showa Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD front fork and a monoshock rear. There is also a dual disc brake at the front of the bike and a single disc brake at the rear.
