New Delhi: Honda Activa Premium Edition: Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India has officially unveiled the new Activa Premium Edition on its website and social media channels. The company also recently released teaser images of the same model, which features the model’s distinctive gold inlays.

Based on the existing Activa 6G, the new Premium edition gets subtle changes on the exterior. However, not much information is available yet about the upcoming Active G Premium editions.

Design, features of Honda Activa Premium Edition

  • Updates include a new Gloss Metallic Navy Blue, gold-colored wheels, gold front accents, 3D gold lettering on the panels, and a new polished brown seat with matching floor panel.
  • The plastic and upholstery of the seats are now done in a brown shade. The rear handle is now silver instead of the body color.
  • The front suspension base and drivetrain cover are now finished in black.
  • In addition, the scooter has an all-metal body, a larger floor area and a longer seat for greater comfort.
  • It also comes with an increased wheelbase and high ground clearance.
  • The Activa Premium is expected to retain the same mechanicals as the standard Activa.
  • The standard Activa 6G is powered by a 109cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 7.8PS at 8,000rpm and 8.84Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. and is paired with a CVT transmission.
  • It is said to have enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, start/stop, integrated starter generator for quiet cranking, telescopic front suspension with 12-inch wheel, 3-stage adjustable rear suspension, external fuel cap and DC LED headlamp.

Price Honda Activa Premium Edition

Honda has not yet released the prices of the new Activa Premium Edition. The Activa range is priced between Rs 72,400-74,400 and the Activa 6G Premium edition is expected to be priced at Rs 78,000. Also read – Electric cars – What does the electric future look like?

Launch and rivals Honda Activa Premium Edition

The new Honda Activa 7G is expected to hit showrooms in late 2022 in time for the festive season. Once launched in India, the scooter will take on rivals like TVS Jupiter, Hero Pleasure+ and Hero Maestro Edge 110.

Activa, the country’s best-selling scooter, has come a long way since its launch over 2 decades ago. Since being criticized time and again for not following the trend, the Activa is now one of the most advanced and feature packed scooters.
