New Delhi: Hyundai launched its fourth-generation Tucson SUV last year, which is nearing its one-year mark in the market. However, the company has already started working on the updated model. Recently, a testing mule of the new 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift was spotted towing duty in the Austrian Alps. While detailed information about the updates inside and outside the vehicle is not available due to heavy camouflage, some changes can be observed from spy images.

Design:
From spy images, it appears that most of the cosmetic changes will be seen in the front fascia. It might feature a new design grille, redesigned headlamps with DRL signature, and an updated bumper. However, the front quarter panel and bonnet are expected to remain unchanged. It may also receive a new rear bumper and tail lamp cluster.

Features and Engine:
The dashboard of the updated 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift may see some significant updates. There is a possibility of a new steering wheel, an updated center console, and a new infotainment system. In Europe, the current 1.6L petrol and diesel engines could be retained in this SUV. The high trims may come with an AWD system, while the lower variants could have an FWD setup. In the United States, the Tucson is sold with a 2.5L engine and hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

Hyundai’s India Plans:
Hyundai Motor is set to enter the micro SUV segment in India with the launch of the Hyundai AX1, which is scheduled for July 10. The company will also unveil the facelifted Hyundai Creta in early 2024. Recently, the new i20 was also spotted testing in India. Currently, there is no news about the Indian launch of the Hyundai Tucson facelift. In the Indian market, the Hyundai Tucson competes with the Mahindra XUV700, which offers both diesel and petrol engine options, along with ADAS features.
