New Delhi: French carmaker Citroën is about to expand its portfolio in India with a new three row SUV. This new car will be made for markets like Brazil and India. According to a media report, the new 7-seater Citroën SUV codenamed CC24 will be based on the company’s C3 hatchback. Its name could be the Citroen C3 Aircross. The spy pictures of the vehicle have revealed some design details about it.

How will be the design?

In this, most of the design elements will be similar to other existing cars of the company. However, the design of the front grille and bumper will be slightly different in the new Citroen 7-seater SUV. The fog lamp assembly will also be seen slightly lower than the C3 hatchback. 17-inch alloy wheels can be given in its top variant, while 16-inch tires can be seen in the lower variants. It will be longer than the C3 hatchback, as seen in the spy pictures as well. But no change in its wheelbase is expected.

How will the features be?

The interior of this car can also be seen similar to the Citroen C3. The new 7-seater SUV from Citroen can get support for 10-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Along with this, features like digital instrument cluster, flat bottom steering with mounted cluster, four speakers, tilt adjustable steering, speed sensitive auto door lock, door edge warning and roof rails can be given.

How will the engine be?

The new Citroen 7-seater SUV may get the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine units as the C3. Which produces 110bhp power and 190Nm torque and 82bhp power and 115Nm respectively. The Citroen C3 Aircross is expected to go on sale in India by the end of 2023.

With whom will there be competition?

This car will compete with the Renault Triber in the Indian market. It gets a 1-litre, naturally aspirated, three-cylinder petrol engine that generates 72PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
