New Delhi: Retail sales of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Toyota cars have increased in June 2023. According to recently released data, wholesale sales of carmaker Maruti Suzuki India grew by 2 per cent year-on-year in June.

Last month, the company sold a total of 1,59,418 units, whereas in June, 2022 this number was 1,55,857.

These Maruti cars are being sold indiscriminately

According to Maruti Suzuki, domestic sales of passenger vehicles have increased by 8 percent in June 2023, with a total of 1,33,027 units sold last month, while in June 2022 the number was 1,22,685 units. Talking about the models, according to the company, 14,054 units of Alto and S-Presso were sold.

Ciaz demand increased

Maruti’s Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and Dzire have sold 64,471 units in the past June. Ciaz sold 1,744 units, while Brezza, Vitara and Ertiga sold a total of 43,404 units.

17% increase in export of Hyundai cars

Hyundai’s wholesale sales in June 2023 are expected to increase 5 percent year-on-year to 65,601 units. At the same time, exports reached 15,600 units this month with an increase of 17% whereas in June 2022 it was 13,350 units. Hyundai COO Tarun Garg said all the products of the company are getting good signals from the customers.

Toyota sales up 19 percent 

Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s wholesale sales grew 19 per cent year-on-year to 19,608 units in June. According to Toyota, the wholesale sales in June, 2022 were 16,512 units. 

Last month, domestic dispatches stood at 18,237 units while overseas shipments increased to 1,371 units.

MG Motor sold 5,125 units 

MG Motor India’s retail sales grew 14 per cent year-on-year to 5,125 units in June, while the total retail sales of the company’s cars in the same period last year were 4,504 units. MG Motor said supplies were affected due to Biparjoy cyclone, but now customer demand should pick up post monsoon.
