In a recent update of events manufacturers have joined in the pursuit to raise up prices citing the increasing prices of production linked components. Several automakers have announced price hikes across their variants. The primary reason that has been stated for these increase has been the rising price of inputs and commodity prices that are necessary for the production of a vehicle. Here is a in detail description of all the price adjustments that have been done in the past.
Tata Motors
Tata motors has announced that its set to raise prices By 3 % across all ICE and CNG variants and electric vehicles as well these would include Nexon , Punch, Curvy, Harrier, Safari, Tigor and Altroz. Just like other brands Tata has stated that the rising price of components necessary for car production has led us to raise the prices.
Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra has been reeling under the pressure of similar circumstances as well. And hence its vehicle would witness price increments of up to 3%. The manufacturer has attributed the higher prices to the rising cost as well as the rise in prices of commodity and other factors that are necessary in the production of the vehicles. Price adjustments are often done to ensure that the brunt of the raise is highly minimized before reaching the customer.
Maruti Suzuki
Suzuki has recently announced a price increase across its full model range. Just like others Suzuki has disclosed the issues that it has been going through in manufacturing its cars with the rising cost of operational expenses as the main factors behind the price rise. Its possible that cars like swift, Dzire, Baleno, Fronx would get a price update.
Hyundai
Hyundai has indicated that it would raise prices up by 3% across its full line up. The manufacturer has further indicated reasons similar to that of the other manufacturer as the reason behind the price increase.
Beyond the other brands that have been listed above KIA would be raising the prices up by 3% across its entire line up, along with Honda. Beyond these brands Renault and BMW have also recently joined the forces in raising the prices. Renault would be raising the prices up by 2% for models such as Kiger, Kwid and Triber. BMW would raise their prices by 3% for all models such as BMW 2 series, BMW Xm and Mini Cooper.
