Royal Enfield has had a rich heritage that has spanned across various years, the brand has been with us ever since the great war’s and have been able to innovate to aid the users with their changing needs. Over the years the manufacturer has been able to reinvent itself while keeping the core values and tenements of their origin the same. To commemorate the vintage design along with the new game engine the manufacturer recently unveiled a new bike that they have produced in collaboration with Purpose Built Moto.
The idea of the manufacturer was to create a custom super Meteor 650 that was inspired by the 40’s and 50’s styling and had nuances that were once considered to be engineering marvels such as a trailing link fork. We also saw a modern iteration of the trailing link fork in the Royal Enfield Flying flea as well.
Project Delta
The Project has been aimed to reimagine the overall layout of the new Meteor 650. The bike showcases a harmonious blend of new age styling along with vintage looks. The bike has been laden with Individual throttle bodies as well. Beyond that the overall chassis of the bike has been modified and further an advanced new Monoshsock has been added as well. But the seating has been directly placed onto the rear monoshock, which could be uncomfortable.
The bike has been built to commemorate the flair and the style of the gone by years and hence it has been painted in Black , gold and cherry red. The engine that has been poised into the bike churns out a relentless 47BHP and 52 NM of Torque. The Bike is a prototype and would be a one off piece that wouldn’t go off into production. But it’s a piece of beauty to behold.
