India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki, will launch the new generation version of the Alto K10 tomorrow, on August 18. The all-new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be sold alongside the entry-level Alto 800. Pre-bookings for the same are already open for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Design and Colors
The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be based on the company’s Heartect modular platform. Design-wise, this entry-level hatchback will take inspiration from the current Celerio and will get oval headlights, smooth body lines, steel rims with wheel covers, etc. The Alto K10 will be offered in six colors – Solid White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Sparkling Red, Fast Blue and Earth Gold .
Engine and Transmission
Powering the new generation Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be an updated 1.0-litre K-series engine that does its duty in its elder sibling – the new S-Presso as well. This engine churns out 65.7 hp and a maximum torque of 89 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT (AGS).

Features and Safety
In terms of features, the new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 can be expected to come with a touchscreen infotainment system that will be compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets a semi-digital instrument cluster and safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, etc.
Price and Rivals
The all-new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be launched in India tomorrow, August 18, and that’s when we’ll get to know its official pricing. The family hatchback is expected to be priced from Rs 3.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Renault Kwid etc.
