New Delhi: There is good news for the people waiting for the new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. The company has started booking its new Alto (Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 booking). Customers will have to pay a token amount of Rs 11,000 to book it. Customers can prebook it by visiting the Maruti Suzuki Arena dealership or the company’s official website. If reports are to be believed, Maruti Suzuki can launch its new generation Maruti Suzuki Alto on 18 August 2022 (Maruti Suzuki Alto k10 lauch date). The sales of Alto 800 will continue even after the launch of Alto K10.

The new Alto will come on the new platform!

If reports are to be believed, the new generation Maruti Suzuki Alto has been built on the company’s modular Heartect platform. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, new Maruti XL6, new Maruti Suzuki Baleno and new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga work on this platform. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara that comes on the same platform will also work.

What’s special about the performance?

It is believed that the new Alto can be launched with two petrol engines. These could also include the new K10C 1.0-litre dual-jet unit with the 796cc engine. It is important to know here that the new Maruti Suzuki S Presso also gets the new K10C 1.0-litre dual-jet unit. The new engine of the new Alto can get 67 bhp and 89 Nm of power output. It will get a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is also possible that the company may also include AGS or AMT units in it. Apart from this, customers can also get to see the new CNG version of Alto.

What will be the price?

According to media reports, the new generation Maruti Suzuki Alto can be launched in the Indian market between Rs 4.15 lakh – 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom). If the prices remain the same, then it will be the cheapest car from the company, which will be below the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in terms of price.

Who will compete?

Maruti Suzuki Alto is the best selling car in its segment. In such a situation, the new Alto will have a direct and tough competition with the Renault Kwid in the Indian market.
