Why Is Turkey Helping Pakistan? Here’s What Expert Has To Say

Turkey has attempted to promote a revival of Caliphate-era culture by providing training to Pakistan’s Dolphin Police unit. 

Pakistan received enormous support from Turkey when India targeted terror camps at nine locations across Pakistan. Turkey offered drones and other weapons to Pakistan, which it used against India. Turkey already extended its support to Pakistan at several international forums. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Islamabad multiple times in recent years. Now, the question is being raised as to why Erdogan is backing Pakistan. Experts view that Erdogan is attempting to revive the Ottoman era.

‘Erdogan wants to revive the Ottoman Caliphate’

According to Navbharat Times, Zacak Tanvir said the reason he sees behind the move is “Islamic’. While speaking at DD News, Tanvir noted Erdogan wants to revive the “Ottoman Caliphate”. He said Pakistan is a nuclear state, and Turkey wants to add Pakistan to its mission. The reason to back Pakistan is that it is a nuclear state and it has good enough armed personnel. Turkey considered Pakistan a key factor in its ambitious mission.
