Who was Ibrahim Qabisi? The Hezbollah Commander Killed In Israeli Airstrike In Beirut

The latest Israeli strikes on Ghobeiri in southern Beirut killed six people and injured at least 15, according to the Lebanese health ministry.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday that they killed a Hezbollah commander named Ibrahim Qabisi, in an airstrike in Dahieh, Beirut. According to sources, Qabisi was the commander of Hezbollah’s Missiles and Rockets Force including the Precision Guided Missile Unit. He was eliminated alongside other central commanders in Hezbollah’s Missiles and Rockets Force, the IDF said in a post on X.

Who Was Ibrahim Qabisi?

According to the IDF, Qabisi was responsible for launching various missiles to hit Israeli civilians.

“He was an essential source of expertise in rocketry and missile technology. He maintained close contacts with the senior military leaders within Hezbollah,” the post added.

Latest Israeli Airstrike Kills Six

The latest Israeli strikes on Ghobeiri in southern Beirut killed six people and injured at least 15, according to the Lebanese health ministry. The Israeli military forces confirmed that it continued its operations targeting Hezbollah.

Hezbollah Commander Ali Karaki Is Alive

In response to reports that its high-ranking official Ali Karaki had been killed in an Israeli airstrike, Hezbollah said he survived the strikes and was moved to a safe location. Karaki oversees military activity in southern Lebanon and is the third-highest leader after the assassinations of important commanders, such as Fuad Shukr and Ibrahim Aqil.
