Emirati princess and the daughter of the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, is once again making headlines. She has captured attention with her engagement to rapper American rapper French Montana.
The 31-year-old royal was previously in the news for her divorce with husband Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. She had announced their separation in July 2024, through a post on Instagram, which received widespread attention as she accused him of infidelity. They had married in May 2023 and have a daughter together.
“Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife,” she wrote on Instagram announcing their split.
Who Is Sheikha Mahra?
Born on born 26 February 1994, Mahra is the member of the Dubai ruling family. Mahra, with birth name Christina is the only child from Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s marriage to Zoe Grigorakos. She has Greek ancestry from her mother Zoe. Mahra holds a degree in international relations and graduated in 2023. She has a daughter from her previous marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
She is known to be involved in charitable work and supporting humanitarian causes. Mahra was the key royal family ambassador during her visit to the Community Development Authority of the Government of Dubai in 2021.
Soon after her divorce, Mahra announced the launch of a perfume brand, Mahra M1 in September 2024. “Divorce” was the first launch of the brand, which was anticipated to be inspired by her own divorce.
She is now engaged to American rapper French Montana. According to reports, the couple made their relationship official during Paris Fashion Week in June, walking hand in hand. Prior to this, they were spotted together on numerous occasions in Dubai and Morocco. They were seen dining at luxury restaurants, visiting mosques, and walking along Paris’s Pont des Arts bridge.
