Rand is currently trending on Twitter and many in India are wondering why. For it is unfortunately an abusive word in Hindi that is used for character assassinating a woman. But this Rand is different and certainly not a Hindi word.
Rand is trending for Rand Paul, for unversed, he is an American politician and currently serving as U.S. Senator for Kentucky. People are reacting to his latest post on X where he said that he will block every attempt to send more funds to Ukraine.
His post says – Today I’m putting congressional leadership & POTUS on notice that I will oppose any effort to hold the federal government hostage for Ukraine funding. I will not consent to expedited passage of any spending measure that provides any more US aid to Ukraine.

In simpler words, he is trying to put a barricade to Ukraine’s funding considering the fact that the US government is in debt of 33 million dollars. He was also supported by Mike Lee who reposted his tweet – The American people hate it when The Firm ties funding for one thing to literally every other thing. This is why we’re $33 trillion in debt. I agree with Rand Paul – funding for the U.S. government shouldn’t be held hostage by efforts to send more money to Ukraine.

Rand Paul has stated that Americans have no extra money to fund Ukraine as their deficit this year will exceed $1.5 trillion and borrowing money from other nations like China to fund another nation like Ukraine makes no sense.
Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Washington has provided Kyiv $113 billion. Also, this week, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Washington to lobby Congress to approve the Biden administration’s $24 billion supplemental aid request.
The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine doesn’t seem to end anywhere and has already taken more than two years. Rand Paul raises an obvious question – where will aid requests end?
After writing it sharp and straight to the government of the US, Paul has been into much discussion and news trends.
