He is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and had fled abroad using a fake passport, from where he continued to operate the gang’s criminal activities. Recently, several social media posts attributed to Noni Rana have surfaced, in which he claimed responsibility for crimes committed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Haryana. Following his arrest, the Haryana Police is in contact with central agencies and US officials to bring him back to India as soon as possible.
Setback for Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
Notably, marking a significant breakthrough in its crackdown on gang-terror networks, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Anmol Bishnoi, the brother and close aide of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, on his deportation from the US to India on Wednesday. In its official statement, the NIA said Bishnoi is the 19th accused to be arrested for his involvement in the terror-syndicate led by his brother Lawrence. He had been absconding since 2022. In such scenario, the arrest of another close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi in the US is being considered a major blow to the gang.
