The accused in Charlie Kirk’s murder case, Tyler Robinson, has come into the spotlight along with his roommate, Lance Twiggs. Twiggs, who is reported to be a ‘male transitioning to female’ was living with Robinson. Utah governor Spencer Cox recently revealed that the 22-year-old accused, Robinson was living with Twigss, also 22. Public records confirm that Twiggs was registered at the same address as Robinson. Tyler Robinson, the suspect accused of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk earlier this week, is reported to have held left-leaning political views.
While Cox did not the name the roommate, news reports suggest that a person named Lance Twiggs was the one living with Robinson. Reportedly, Twiggs played a key role in Robinson’s arrest by providing authorities with text messages, where Robinson mentioned about hiding the gun used to kill Kirk, who was known for his anti-LGBTQ views. Twiggs is described as an aspiring professional gamer. According to a report, discord messages exchanged between Robinson and Twiggs became an important evidence in the case.
Utah Governor further stated that Twiggs comes from a conservative Christian family. While he mentioned that Robinson was in a relationship with the transgender person, he didn’t name the person. Similarly, Twiggs family called him the “black sheep” of the family but did not comment on whether there was a romantic relationship between the two. The relative added that she was unaware of Twiggs’s political views or transition, but “It wouldn’t surprise” her if that comes out.
According to a Facebook page, Twiggs, originally from southern Utah, studied at Utah Tech University. Meanwhile, Robinson was studying to become an electrician at a nearby technical college. Twiggs was deeply involved in gaming and frequently shared videos of shooting games on a TikTok account with the tagline: “Becoming TikTok pros one terrible video at a time.” Twiggs posted clips of gameplay from titles such as Apex Legends, Valorant, and Rocket League.
Daily Mail quoted some friends, who stated that Robinson and Twiggs were part of a large online group chat of gamer friends on the Discord. Many of these gamers were Robinson’s friend. While the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is ascertaining the motive behind the crime, they are also investigating Tyler and his roommate’s relationship. Kirk reportedly often gave anti-LBGTQ and anti-immigrant remarks that attracted the attention of a large number of conservatives.

Trump’s close ally, Kirk was shot by Robinson while addressing students at Utah Valley University. When a liberal TikToker, Hunter Kozak, asked him about transgender shooters, “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?”. Kirk responded, “Too many.”
