A 55-year-old, former gynaecologist has been accused of raping 87 women aged between 14 and 67 years in Norway, reported The Sun. The report added that the suspect is under trial over the sexual abuse of two minors. The former gynaecologist has been identified as Arne Bye, a resident of a village in Norway.
Police have seized 6,000 hours of CCTV footage and examinations conducted by Bye without the consent of patients. According to The Sun, “Bye has pleaded guilty for three cases of sexual assault that may lead him to imprisonment for up to 21 years.”
It was also revealed that he had inserted a deodorant-like, bottle-like, and one cylindrical object into the woman’s body without mentioning any reason. One of the survivors also mentioned that “she felt like she was going to die.”

Shocking Details Of The Case
The alleged assaults ‘happened quickly and unexpectedly’ during the examinations, the indictment stated. State attorney Richard Haugen Lyng said, “We have video recordings of the assault itself.”
“In that sense, we have a rather special evidentiary situation in the case, in that large parts of the indictment are illustrated with video material,” the prosecutor added.
All the evidence, including videos against Bye, was present in the court. He had installed multiple cameras in his room, and the suspect admitted sexual abuse charges against him, added The Sun.
