PM Modi is currently in Poland and will be visiting Ukraine on August 23. He will be boarding Train Force One- a luxurious service used by the world leaders. Train Force One isn’t just a normal train but a 10 hour luxurious and comfortable journey through war-torn Ukraine with full security services. As PM Modi embarks on his 20 hour long overnight journey to Kyiv, he will join the list of other world leaders who have earlier travelled via Train Force One.

The name ‘Train Force One’ is coined by Ukraine’s railway company CEO Oleksandr Kamyshin. It represents the magnificent feat of “Iron diplomacy”- the practice of transporting world leaders from Poland through Ukraine via rail. The service was offered since the start of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Why Train Force One?

Flying into Kyiv is declared risky for many reasons such as shutdown of airports and risky roads. PM Modi will be taken to Kyiv via Train Force one which is the safest and most trusted way in and out to Ukraine. This specially designed service has been relished previously by US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz, the Chancellor of Germany.

While it may not sound very safe to travel through train to a country ravaged by war, Train Force One is actually known for its well-established reputation. VIP passenger’s safety and comfort are being taken care of in ‘Train Force One’ which has advanced security.
