What is DOGE?
The Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE is not a formal government agency. According to Donald Trump, the newly formed DOGE will work closely with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget to drive large-scale structural reform. It aims to create an entrepreneurial approach to governance. Additionally, the acronym ‘DOGE’ is a nod to Elon Musk’s favorite cryptocurrency, Dogecoin.
It is however unclear how DOGE will operate.
Vivek Ramaswamy Withdraws From Ohio Senate Race
However, after his appointment to lead the DOGE, alongside Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy withdrew his nomination from the senate appointment in Ohio on Wednesday.
In a social media post, Ramaswamy said, “And yes, this means I’m withdrawing myself from consideration for the pending senate appointment in Ohio. Whoever Governor DeWine appoints to JD’s seat has some big shoes to fill. I will help them however I can.”
