During a rally in Pennsylvania today, former US President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt when several gunshots were fired at him. Security agents quickly evacuated Trump from the stage, and he is reported to be unharmed.

A video of the incident shows Trump addressing a large crowd of supporters when the shots were fired. After the initial gunshots caught him off guard, Trump is seen touching his right ear before ducking behind the stage podium for cover. The crowd, appearing confused and frightened, also ducked to avoid potential bullets.
The Secret Service agents swiftly responded, covering and escorting Trump off the stage. Trump, whose right ear appeared to be bleeding, raised his fist in the air while being evacuated.

According to his campaign, Trump is “fine” and is currently being examined at a medical facility. Spokesman Steven Cheung stated, “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”
US media reports indicate that two people, including the suspected shooter, have been killed. Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger confirmed that the deceased include the apparent shooter, according to reports
President Joe Biden has condemned the attack on his political rival. In a post on X, Biden expressed relief, saying, “I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.”
