In a shocking revelation, images of Pakistan’s Jacobabad Airbase — a key hub for the Pakistani military — show widespread damage even six months after India’s Operation Sindoor. New satellite pictures reveal that the base has still not fully recovered. The airbase, which serves as a major stronghold for the F-16 fighter jets supplied by the United States, remains visibly damaged, with clear signs of an unrepaired airfield.
What Symon’s recent posts on X indicate
According to Symon’s recent posts on X, satellite imagery shows that Pakistan has begun work on a new facility at Rawalpindi’s Nur Khan Airbase, one of the locations targeted by Indian forces during Operation Sindoor.
“Pakistan appears to have constructed a new facility at Nur Khan Airbase, at the location India targeted during its May 2025 conflict,” Damien Symon posted on X on November 16.
Imagery over the past few months reveals the hangar targeted by India at Jacobabad Airbase, Pakistan during the May 2025 conflict, has had its roof taken apart in stages likely as internal damage checks continue before the structure is repaired pic.twitter.com/DNmgKnmEEv

What The Satellite Images Reveal
In the latest images, we can see that the hangar’s outer structure is being continuously dismantled. The roof was missing, which indicates the internal inspections. It is also clear that the pattern of the work matches standard post-strike damage assessment protocols. From the images, it is clear that the country is in a full-scale repair of the Jacobabad Air Base, which seems to be its high-priority asset.
Jacobabad Airbase has long been one of Pakistan’s most strategically important military installations. During Operation Enduring Freedom, it served as a critical operational hub for NATO. Today, it hosts some of the Pakistani Air Force’s most advanced platforms, including a large deployment of JF-17 Block II fighter jets.
