The US Air Force plane carrying Indian citizens who illegally migrated to the United States arrived in Punjab’s Amritsar on Wednesday. A US military C-17 Globemaster military aircraft landed with 104 Indian nationals. Speaking on the deportation, a US Embassy spokesperson said that while specific details cannot be shared, the US is vigorously enforcing its border and immigration laws. A video has now been shared by Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, Michael W. Banks which shows the deportees boarding the aircraft.
Sharing the video on X, Banks wrote, “USBP and partners successfully returned illegal aliens to India, marking the farthest deportation flight yet using military transport. This mission underscores our commitment to enforcing immigration laws and ensuring swift removals. If you cross illegally, you will be removed.”
The video shows deportees with chains tightly fastened to their feet. Their hands are tied and can be seen moving in a line near the aircraft with US Military soldiers walking behind them. Their baggage is being carried by the soldiers. The aircraft takes off as soon as all the deportees are seated.

Deportees In Good Health Says Punjab Minister
Notably, a day earlier, Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should talk to the United States President Donald Trump to find solution to the issue of deportation of Indians who allegedly illegally migrated to the US. He further informed that out of 104 deportees, 30 people are from Punjab. He confirmed that all the deportees were in good health condition.
Also, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on January 24 had stated that it would facilitate the return of Indian nationals “overstaying” or residing without proper documentation in the United States or “anywhere in the world.”
