US President Donald Trump on Wednesday once again claimed that he prevented a war between India and Pakistan by leveraging a trade deal.
Trump said, “The most important of all, India and Pakistan…I ended that with a series of phone calls on trade. I said if you’re going to go fighting each other, we’re not doing any trade deal. The General from Pakistan was in my office last week. Prime Minister Modi is a great friend of mine. He’s a great gentleman, he’s a great man. I got them to reason, and I said, we’re not doing a trade deal if you’re going to fight. They said, no, I want to do the trade deal. We stopped the nuclear war.”

Trump said, “In the last few weeks, we took care of India and Pakistan, Kosovo, and Serbia. The Congo is coming in, and Rwanda is coming in; that was a vicious war that went on. We did two others in addition to that. Nobody’s ever done anything like this.”

Earlier, Trump expressed his satisfaction in stopping “THE WAR” between Iran and Israel, asserting that it was his “great honour” to destroy all of Iran’s nuclear facilities and capabilities before brokering a ceasefire between the two nations.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump noted that both Israel and Iran “equally” wanted the conflict to end.
“Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally! It was my great honour to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR,” he stated in his post.
This came following a series of escalating military actions in the region when Israel initially conducted coordinated strikes against Iranian nuclear and military sites on June 13.
