The US Police have refuted claims suggesting that Goldy Brar, the alleged perpetrator of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, was killed in California, asserting that these reports are inaccurate.
The police clarified that the victim was not Goldy Brar. They provided the victim’s identity in a press release and shared his picture. The police expressed uncertainty about the origin of the rumor but emphasized that it did not originate from their agency. They noted that international news outlets began reporting the incident as fact before verifying with their agency.
The Fresno Police Department released a statement detailing an incident that occurred on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 5:30 pm. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at Fairmont Avenue and Holt Avenue in the Northwest District. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Xavier Gladney with a gunshot wound. Despite being transported to CRMC, Gladney was pronounced deceased. Additionally, a thirteen-year-old juvenile, who was present at the scene, was dropped off at CRMC with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Homicide detectives have identified 33-year-old Darren Williams as the suspect responsible for the murder of Xavier Gladney. A warrant for murder and assault with a deadly weapon has been issued for his arrest. The authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to Williams’ arrest. The shooting is believed to have arisen from a gang-related interpersonal dispute, according to the police statement.
Following the incident, numerous individuals on social media speculated that the individual killed in the incident was Goldy Brar, a gangster based in Canada.
