A Hindu temple was attacked in Utah’s Spanish Fork in the United States. According to reports, multiple rounds of shooting took place targeting the Krishna temple.
As per reports, around 20–30 bullets were fired at the temple. It was also reported that the temple had been under attack over the past few days. The Spanish Fork Sheriff’s Office described it as an act of “vandalism,” while ISKCON authorities claimed it was a “hate crime.”
ISKCON tweeted, “The ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah (USA), world-famous for its Holi Festival, has recently come under attack in suspected hate crimes. Over the past several days, 20–30 bullets were fired at the temple building and the surrounding property. The incidents occurred during nighttime hours, while devotees and guests were present inside, and have resulted in thousands of dollars in structural damage, including to the temple’s hand-carved arches.”

Utah Country Sherrif Office said, “Over the weekend, our office was made aware of several acts of vandalism directed towards the Krishna Temple that is located off of 8500 South here in Utah County. UCSO Deputies responded to the Temple and recovered various items of evidence, including casings from the rounds fired at the Temple. This incidents have been assigned to our Investigations Division and they are currently working on them.”
Consulate General of India in San Francisco posted on X, “We strongly condemn the recent firing incident at the ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Krishna temple in Spanish Fork, Utah. The Consulate extends full support to all the devotees and the community and urges the local authorities to take prompt action to bring the perpetrators to justice.”

In April, Canadian journalist Daniel Bordman had alleged that the Lakshmi Narayan temple in Surrey, British Columbia, was vandalised for the third time on Sunday night, with walls of the building defaced with pro-Khalistan graffiti and reports of security equipment stolen from the site.
Bordman, who visited the site, described what he saw and voiced concern over how the situation was handled.
“I saw when I got there that the vandalism had already been covered up, there were still some broken glasses… there were videos taken in the morning saying Khalistan was behind it. You saw a lot of Khalistan graffiti…
I spoke with some of the devotees and management. I don’t quite understand why they decided to just remove graffiti before the Police came… they did claim that vandals also stole the security camera… several devotees were quite upset… That wasn’t the only temple that was vandalised last night, there was also a Gurdwara in Vancouver which was vandalised by Khalistanis,” Bordman said in a video posted on X.
