New Delhi: The wrath of weather has been raging in the southern region of Japan. A storm warning has been issued for the southern island of Kyushu. The Meteorological Department has directed the local residents to evacuate the entire area before strong winds hit the area.
Typhoon Namadol hits Japan
Typhoon Nanmadol is about 400 kilometers (250 miles) east of Okinawa Island on Saturday, according to the Meteorological Department. The storm is expected to make landfall in southern Kagoshima in Kyushu today. Then it will head towards the main Japanese island. However, there are chances that it may move north.
Ryuta Kurora, head of the Japan Meteorological Agency’s forecast unit, told reporters that there is a risk of unprecedented storms, high waves, storms and record rain in southern Kyushu for the next few days, AFP news agency reported. He further said that we urge the local people to vacate the houses and other premises at the earliest. People should be careful and stay in touch with the government machinery.

Climate change is the reason
The Meteorological Department estimates that it is a very dangerous storm. An alert has been issued for this evening in Kagoshima. According to the Meteorological Department, strong wind will blow, due to which the house can fall. There are chances of floods and landslides. Please tell that Japan is currently facing a typhoon.
About 20 such storms occur here annually, which cause loss of life and property. Scientists say that climate change is increasing the severity of storms and becoming more frequent and intense due to extreme weather such as heat waves, drought and flash floods.
