US President Donald Trump made a big revelation against anti-Modi US billionaire George Soros. Trump claimed Soros funded several organisations affiliated with Soros to use funds to trigger unrest in several nations, including India and Bangladesh. These organisations received $26 crores for such activities. Trump claimed that Soros used these funds to create unrest and ensure political tumult in several nations.
In a post on X, Trump claimed that “Soros received $270 million and used this money to create unrest, political crisis, and political benefits in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Britain, India, and the United States.” His comments came after he froze USAIDs. He has also ordered a scrutiny of foreign funding.
Reports suggested that USAID had funded over $270 million in coordination with orgainstations affiliated with Soros in the last 15 years. East-West Management Institute is in collaboration with Soros’ organisation- the Open Society Foundation. These revelations have triggered serious concerns over the US government’s role in creating a political crisis in other countries.
Tesla CEO and DOGE Head Elon Musk backed President Trump’s claims and highlighted USAID’s “ controversial projects”.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already raised the issue, stating that Prime Minister Modi’s critics are receiving foreign funds and it is none other than George Soros. The BJP leaders have been claiming that Soros wants to destabilize the Narendra Modi government.
